Just a few general principles here. 12th scale cars don’t pull as much current as a touring car so don’t need wire as thick. 16 gauge wire is perfectly adequate for the job. It is also lighter and more flexible so is less likely to restrict any pod movement and affect the car’s handling.
It is a good idea to attach the wire to Corally plugs at 90 degrees so it is less likely to catch on the shock or bodyshell, as shown below.

People wire from the ESC to the motor in different ways. Some people like it to go over the T-bar between the two saddle packs. I prefer the simple and direct route as seen in the picture below.
The thing to remember is to make sure the wire does not impede the pod movement in any way, or to catch badly on the bodyshell (quite easy with today’s low shells) as both can cause unpredictably handling cars.
Wiring the radio gear and transponder should just be neat and tidy, as it should be on any car.
