This is by no means essential but it is a good idea to sand a radius on the edges of the major carbon pieces such as chassis, pod plates etc. and then to seal them with cyano adhesive (superglue to you and me!). This helps to prevent carbon parts from delaminating and gives a good looking finish.
To do this, sand lengthwise along the edges with fine wet and dry until there is a smooth radius to the edge of the carbon. Then apply a thin bead of cyano to the edge. I have found that the easiest way to do this is to use cyano adhesive that has a brush applicator. Helps to prevent you from supergluing yourself to the chassis! Then give this another rub down with the wet and dry to give a smooth edge. An example of the finished product is shown below.
